New to psoriasis
Hi all,
I am new to psoriasis, new to this forum too. I hope by joining this forum I can share, and learn alot about this disease, which is very new to me as well. I just been diagnosed having a psoriasis today by a skin specialist somewhere in Kajang / Bangi. The psoriasis that I have is a reverse psoriasis and scalp psoriasis, thats mean there are 2 part of my bodies having these lesion - one at my scalp, another one somewhere around my body. No wonder my anti dandruff shampoo never work. Never thought the itchiness on my scalp is the effect of psoriasis.
Today also the doctor prescribed me few medicines, such as betnovate ointment, atarax tabs, loratadine, beprosalic, and politar shampoo.
Anyone (preferably dermatologist) can help me answering this question:
1) Can psoriasis move from one person to another?
2) How long the treatment can be? I read most of the patients take many years and some of them never get cured.
3) Is the medicine of mine is good enough? I read some of the patients use herbal treatment to get cure. Can anyone suggest any medicine that is proven to him/her?
Thank you.
