Re: I found a good soap
Hi Helicorpster,
Thanks very much for sharing. There is also a forum member who has found a neem product ( I think it can be eaten). You may want to evaluate. I suggest that with all such food items - start with a little. you never know if you will have an allergic reaction
Again, thanks for sharing and we need more forum members to share with us their trial and error stories to help each other out.
Lastly, you may also want to try combo tactics which I think works better. Combo could be diet + supplements + topical (such as neem or steroid). Boxers always use combo tactics to take the opponent down - why not P patients yeah ! haha

Re: I found a good soap
You might want to try using milder soaps and shampoo though. Baby soap and shampoo usually works well (it doesn't improve anything but at least it doesn't cause any irritation). Certain soaps like Lux made me feel very painful after bath

Re: I found a good soap
Guys,
Just to share - I use the following:
Daily soap: Oilatum (recommended by many derm). Made by Stiefel. Same people who make Polytar.
Shampoo: Tea tree oil and rosemary I think. Himalaya - blue cap.
Conditioner: Himalaya also has one with tea tree oil. If you travel abroad like Australia - look for Neutrogena psoriasis conditioner (white liquid). Anyway, between the two ... himalaya is just as good imho.
All the above available at Guardian or most major pharmacies.
For itch - I swear by using a combo tactic. Take antihistamine (I find Clarityne works better for me than Zertec). My derm said it was ok to take two tablets aday but you had better check with your doctors).
Then for topical which really relieves itch is Sarna lotion. I think I've posted this before somewhere in the forum. It's quite hard to find and again by Stiefel. I suggest you go to the stiefel website and look for the Malaysian office. Then call them on a working day and find out which is the nearest pharmacy that sells Sarna lotion. I got mine from the Alpha pharmacy in Taman Megah, Petaling Jaya.
The above works for me but you may have other remedies that work for you. Hope the above helps.

Re: I found a good soap
Hi Shah, I think with regards to to soap - best is to go trial and error. Keep testing until you find one that works well for you.
The basis is (although not all encompassing):
- Absence of chemicals
- Lesser drying of the skin
- May be less allergic (underlying allergy can trigger P)
