Organic Food

Another input about organic food ... I once asked a doctor friend the following questions:

Dom: "Dr ... if organic food such as vegetables are suppose to contain pesticide and other toxins, won't these chemicals affect our immune system. I also heard that some animal meat we eat contain traces of antibiotics cuz the people who rear them sell the animals into the market without adhering to the govt regulations of a "cooling period" before slaugther "

Dr: "Yes - that is quite possible. Animal antibiotics have been found in some meat"

Dom: "So if the pesticides and antibiotics can affect human's immune system, does that mean that we P patients will be affected cuz we are having a autoimmune disease ?"

Dr: "Yes ... your linkage is possible and logical. However, there is no real research to date on linking of organic food or impurities and improvement or worsening of Psoriasis"

Just to share guys. Hope this helps.

1) When I chose a dog food, I chose one high meat content. I want to see preferably at least 2-3 out of the top 5 ingredients be meat or meat meal (first ingredient must be!). Meal is simply the meat with the moisture removed.
2) I want to see higher quality grains, such as barley, brown rice, and oatmeal, instead of seeing wheat and corn. Or an alternative starch/carbohydrate such as potatoes or sweet potatoes.
3) I don't want to see any byproducts.
