Re: How Do You Feel About Your Condition?
well...when i first saw changes in my body i started to search on all possible ailments as i hate seeing the doctor..i finally self diagnosed myself with psoriasis and went to a skin specialist only for confirmation...it took me quite sometime to prepare myself for the "Yes u have psoriasis'frm the doc...however i have managed it quite fine now considering that there are MANY other disorders out there and this is just one of them..so it's fine ..and also knowing that ur not alone helps A LOT too...

Re: How Do You Feel About Your Condition?
When I first had it, it was really bad to the point that my scalps and body bleeds everyday (too much scratching). The pain were so unbearable that I get insomnia for about one whole year (I can only sleep when I was so sleep deprived that I totally passed out when I lie on my bed). Constant questioning from people also kinda pissed me off because I really hate to explain what is Psoriasis (its like a really long essay if you go into details) and most people don't understand what it is also after I've explained. Basically when people ask me what happened to me its either I tell them I have cancer or I have allergy so I don't have to talk so much lol. Till now I'm still evading from swimming in public pools though unless I get to keep my clothes on when I swim.

Re: How Do You Feel About Your Condition?
Everyone P sufferer I talk to feels basically the same. First, surprise because he probably never heard of the disease before. Then, the question of why me, followed by discomfort, embarrassment, anger and finally acceptance.
For me, I have gone through all the stages mentioned above and I am trying to make my life as happy as I possibly can so that hopefully my stress is reduced to the minimum and thus my p will also be better or cleared.
But sometimes it is not how the sufferer feels that matters, it's how the people around him that is also important. As in my case, my wife can't accept my p so now has refused to share the same bed with me, let alone sleep with me. That's certainly doesn't help at all, does it? Lucikily, I'm getting used to a sex free life.
Anyone wish to comment?

Hi Algiedi - with regards to your wifes difficulty in accepting, I hope we can help in some way or another - tho this may be a sensitive topic and please let us know what is sensitive to you or not. Perhaps can I ask is it because of the flakes?
However, if you feel that this is a sensitive topic - please let me know and I can lock this post from further comments.

Re: How Do You Feel About Your Condition?
To all,
I cannot comment much now that I had it completely healed.
But I can tell it, psoriasis is real terrible when I was having it then.
Thank God

To Alvin,
If you can't comment, you might as well don't comment... Somehow I feel like there's a sense of sarcasm in your statement.
